Aching for a tropical getaway but hate to deal with cumbersome travel

packages, Aviva Spa offers all the perks of a spa resort getaway minus
all that logistical fuss.
Situated inside Aranda Country Club, the feng shui aligned interior
of Aviva Spa brings to mind the highly deliberate decor of famous Southeast
Asian spa resorts. The sandstone fountain, sparse timber furnishing,
apple white walls and sky blue ceiling at the spa's main service area
convey a rustic, yet thoroughly contemporary feel. Its 10 treatment
rooms (which include a Couple Room and VIP room facing Pasir Ris park)
are split into two sections - for ladies and men.
The
comprehensive list of treatments offered should please the most discerning
of spa-goers. Its Thermal LimeWrap (a cool,
detoxifying body wrap that slowly warms up to the skin to leave it baby
smooth afterwards) and computerised hydrotherapy
treatment from France (using mineral capsules with a choice of green
tea or ginseng) are must-trys. For massages, we recommend the OrangeTherapy
massage. A firm but relaxing full-body deal using treated oranges followed
by a special blend of citrus oil containing sweet orange and wheat germs,
it is said to aid detoxification and improve blood circulation.
Treatments
aside, the draw of the place, lies in its extensive facilities,
which the spa shares with the club. To complete the
whole "spa retreat" picture, the spa also offers "Retreat
Destination" packages, where after rejuvenating treatments,
you get to put up at Aranda Country Club's Executive
Suites from $390 for two people. The suite is a big roomy affair
with a spacious living room, two bedrooms, a kitchen and outdoor barbecue
pits. Living it large, no doubt - all by your private self and just
like on holiday, only that passports are not required for this trip.
